Herald I 1ZL, JilL 9 1942 Candidates for WAAC Training To Be Notified Ahoxifefytf) Candidates Take Oath at jLiOcal Hecruitif g Stations Successful candidates from the "women's auxiliary army corps officer's training school will he notified this week of their selection and receive instructions as to where and when to report, war department officials have announced. The various corps areas will receive lists of the candidates and will notify them. Some 440 candidates will take the oath at their local recruiting stations and report at Fort Des TVfoines hy July 20. Not all the successful candidates will go immediately to Fort Des | Moines. Some will report at a later date. Officials anticipate that about 800 candidates from the original list will eventually be trained at the fort. Two of the first eighty companies *o be trained are composed of negro women and will be stationed after training at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. The school is to have a resident adviser, like a college dean
