News Newton, Iowa AUG '-'*3 WOMEN AT WAR A little flurry cropped up in Iowa the other day when a couple of WAC recruiting officers dropped some remarks to the effect that Iowa girls don't realize how urgently their services are needed in the j WAC and in the war.. The inference was given by the WAC officials that Iowa girls are reluctant to give up the lives they are leading for something the I recruiters consider more important. Some Iowa girls came right back with the observation that while j WAC is a very worthy service, it is not the only war service and that Iowa girls are doing their pan in the war effort in handling jobs in many other important phases of the home front program, We don't presume to get into this I debate among the girls, nor do we wish to reflect any upcm the WACS. | Their usefulness in helping the' military part of the war effort has long since been accepted. Nevertheless, we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that on the home front hundreds of gals ar
