The inside cover of this cookbook and end of the recipes read "M. Ragen" & "From M. Regan to Hannah Wade." There are three pages of accounts listed in the back of the book dated 1759. Purchases of Indian meal and corn indicate American authorship. The first part of this manuscript includes handwritten recipes. There are 162 pages of which 40 are written.
